We have been running benefit matches at Hartley Wintney Cricket Club since 2002. The first one was for Shaun ‘Shaggy’ Udal and he has been a key part of the events ever since as player, MC and auctioneer. This year’s match is on Friday 8th August and, as there is no player having a testimonial in 2025, we will be playing against Hampshire to raise funds for their Cricketing charities.
These are great days and very much the highlight of the Cricket Club’s, and probably the village’s, year. There are lots of opportunities to get involved by helping out with the preparation and also taking a lunch table in the marquee to host up to 10 people. We also have sponsorship packages available too. Please contact Ian Kerr (iankerr18@gmail.com) for more details.
The black-tie Ball will take place as usual the following evening on Saturday 9th August with tickets available by contacting Olly Jeffery (oliviasutherland@hotmail.com). We will also be hosting a fund-raising match and other activities for The Samantha Dickson Trust on Wednesday 6th August. These have been very popular events over the last few years and great fun.
Don’t be shy about getting involved!
